since we tied the knot!

Martina & Ismail planned their first trip to Iceland together in October 2022. Ismail planned a romantic getaway north of Akueyri and popped the question under the most beautiful sky full of stars and a dancing aurora. Martina, of course, said yes! They celebrated with whales breathing in the background, in the middle of a snowy mountain that night before Halloween, with a champagne toast in the very north of Iceland.

Martina's youngest brother is her man of honor. (Who said it must always be an entirely female bridal party, right?)
If you wanna talk to him at the wedding, conversation topics could include: construction work, bridges, tennis, low-carb food, "How to get a six-pack in 4 weeks"-tips, and of course, cats.

Ismail's friend since his first job in Istanbul.
If you see him at the wedding, conversation topics could include: music, instruments, Do you like music? Are you playing music? Do you know where I can listen to good music? No?, Ok, I'm going to see the DJ, see you later, and cats.

Friends since 1998! After meeting her on the slopes, we spend the entire high school time together.
Conversation topics: Nutella, flying, sports, Which country have you NOT been to before (but could be answered too quickly), and fancy (shiny) things (especially cars, shoes, bags).

We've been on a non-stop techno music journey together for a solid 5 years! Trust me, boredom is simply not an option when you're around this guy.
Conversation topics could include: the question of how many slopes he can snowboard down in one day, hiking, kite-surfing, satellites, rockets, stars (well, all kinds of universe questions), and beer or whisky; or both!

From colleges to besties, from Berlin to Zurich!
If you wanna talk with her at the wedding, conversation topics could include: Swiss cheese, Berlin, or traveling in general (don't mention the words car, Spain, robbery and make-up - in that exact order or aligned in one sentence); but if you have some time, ask her about her upcoming wedding (Martina is her MOH!! wooo)

Nr 1° lockdown contact person. Only we know that his guilty pleasure is a famous German TV show!
Main conversation topics could include: Bali, Thailand, food, Italian food, Do you like Tiramisu? Who do you think makes the best Tiramisu? Do you know where to get the best Tiramisu in Munich?, cooking in general (never mention Pineapple and Pizza), and Heidi Klum.

Location

The wedding on Saturday will take place in the Kasermandl Berghütte. All guests will be transported via shuttle service up to the hut.

If someone is crazy enough to hike on the Kasermandl instead of the shuttle service, this is possible without any problems. The hike takes a maximum of 45 minutes at about 350 hm and runs on a road. On the Kasermandl, you can refresh yourself. For the hike, we recommend a change of shoes.

IMPORTANT: The mountain hut does not offer card payment and cigarettes. Please bring enough if you are smoking!

As most of our guests are coming from far away, we are happy to welcome everybody to a casual Sip'n'Snack!

If you are already in the valley, come as you are and join us until 5:45 pm on our last Apéro before the wedding!

No worries, while you are dancing we take care of your gusto - enjoy our flying buffet!

A shuttle will be organized to bring you all back to the parking lot, where you can easily reach your beds. If you want you are also free to walk down. It sure is fun! :)

Our wedding ceremony and reception will take place outside - it's winter, please remember! Warm cloths are very recommended! After the official part, we will have an Apéro outside before warming up in the mountain hut! We'd love to see our family and friends dressed up for our big day.

You can see our favorite colors above! It would be amazing if we enlightened the white and grey winter with some colors. If you like, come dressed up and fill the winter with a little splash of those colors above!

If you are well rested after the party and still motivated, come up to the mountain with us to spend your first day as newlyweds!

While we would be delighted to see you there, please consider it an optional and casual gathering. Your presence is appreciated, but we understand that it is a long travel back.

If you want, meet us at the parking of the Jöchlspitzbahn! Alternatively, you can also take the bus (- which is sure a good option, due to limited space!)
If you feel insecure about driving in the winter, let us know and we will arrange it for you!

If you have to check out early from your hotel, we can recommend the Lechtaler Hexenkessel right next to the meeting point!

We would love to meet you all up there before you start your journey home.

Once you're back in shape and great mood after a warm soup, grab your skis and join us on the slopes, or take the gondola for the descent.

A shuttle will pick you up from here, close to the parking space (Geierwally Parkplatz) where you can park your car, and bring you to the venue.

The shuttle service will return you to the parking lot after the party. If you don't have a car available, the shuttle service can also be booked on your own for a further journey. However, all guests must first descend into the valley.

We will let you know soon about your pick-up time!

Keep in mind that we will stay in a beautiful Austrian ski resort.

We recommend you bring your skiing outfits, warm clothes, and good shoes for the weekend.

On the wedding day, we will spend some time outside. Wear those thermo-leggings underneath or your ski trousers above! 🔥🔥🔥
Although the venue will offer fireplaces, the weather in the Alps is unpredictable.

You are welcome to change your shoes or clothes in the hut afterward!

Due to space constraints at our venue, we would love to share our special day with the people we love - and love us from the bottom of their hearts.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

We love the little ones, so they are more than welcome during the ceremony!

In the evening, we will have an adults-only celebration! Dear Mamas and Papas, allow yourself to let your hair down and dance with us!

Dancing with you on our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, if you do wish to surprise us with a gift, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be most appreciated!

The world is big and there is still much for us to see!

start organizing your travel
- the earlier, the better -

The families and the newlyweds will spend the nights at the Kasermandl, which means that the capacities there are already exhausted.

After the party on Saturday, a shuttle service will bring you down to the parking lot of the open-air stage. It is therefore recommended to stay overnight in Elbigenalp if possible.
Although the shuttle service can be booked on your initiative for a further journey, if you no longer have a car available, all guests must first descend into the valley from the Kasermandl Berghütte.

In the Lech Valley, there are numerous hotels and guesthouses where you can stay.
We have already made room reservations for two nights (from Friday to Sunday) in Elbigenalp.

Directly book by yourself one of those two beautiful hotels:
Hotel Stern or Hotel Panorama.
They have blocked rooms, especially for our wedding guests - please mention that you are our guest on the reservation!
Please do that as soon as possible, as the rooms are limited!

As another option, please feel free to choose the room you like from this list by entering your name and letting us know in the RSVP.

Some guesthouses offer charming apartments for guests who want to stay longer - at least three nights - in the beautiful Lechtal. We summarized some of them here:

If nothing suits you, you are welcome to book yourself. You will find a large selection of accommodations which you can contact in the nearby villages. For example, in the neighboring villages, Bach (4km), Häselgehr (5km), or Holzgau (8km).

BY PLANE:
The closest airports are Innsbruck in Austria or Munich in Germany.

BY CAR:
Besides the hotel parking, this parking area is the best place to park the car for the duration of the wedding. Let us know in the RSVP where you are coming from and how. We will send you the guest list later so you can get together and plan your trip!

BY TRAIN:
You can take the train to the railway station Reutte in Tyrol. From there, Bus 110 takes you in 1h to Elbigenalp Gemeindeamt.

The nature park region Lechtal offers many beautiful hiking and recreational opportunities.

If you want to come early or add one or more days here are some suggestions.

And here are all the slopes around that area of Elbigenalp! A famous ski resort is Austria's largest contiguous ski area, St. Anton am Arlberg (Martina learned how to ski there).

For swimming or a relaxing sauna afterward, you can go to the two closest places, either Day-Spa in Holzgau or the Aqua Nova in Steeg.

Your hotel will also provide you with the Lechtal Guest Card which gives you a lot of local benefits!
